Infusion 3

More than halfway done with AC treatments! It seems that Dr. Kocs has cracked the Melanie code and gotten the right combo of meds to keep me from feeling terrible. Knock on wood, no vomiting, no dizziness, etc. I am just worn out. I had a nice nap at home in the late afternoon and I'm looking forward to sleeping through the night. I am VERY happy to be feeling well tonight! I also wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that my infusion nurse forgot to open the tube between the A and C, so I sat for 30 minutes receiving only IV fluids. When I noticed, a new IV bag had to be added, so I got time between meds and extra fluids too. It took longer, but I had good company, THANKS MOM!

I did find out today that I have a 50% chance of starting menopause from the chemo. If I don't start menopause, then they'll have to medically force it, either through surgery, the removal of my remaining ovary or through another set of drugs. A good friend of mine told me she thought that would be the best thing to come out of my cancer journey, no more periods. If that's all there is to it, I'll agree. I'm not really wanting to follow up the chemo side effects with the menopause side effects. However, I'll get through it, whatever comes.
